Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.

01
Introduction & Scope
At Softminal, we build WordPress plugins that respect your hosting environment and your privacy. This policy outlines how our website and software products handle data. Our baseline philosophy is simple: Your data belongs to you. We do not collect, store, or sell what we do not need to operate our services.
02
Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you when you interact with our website, purchase a plugin license, or contact us for support. This includes your name, email address, and the billing details needed to complete a purchase.
Payments are handled by our payment provider, Polar, which acts as our merchant of record. Your full card details are entered with and processed by Polar — they are never transmitted to or stored on Softminal servers. We retain only the order information we need (such as your email, the product purchased, and the amount) to manage your license and provide support.
Our WordPress plugins and WooCommerce add-ons are engineered to process data locally. We do not collect or monitor your website’s visitor logs, transactional information, or media files on Softminal servers.
03
License Verification & Telemetry Data
To validate premium updates and enforce site limits, Pro versions of our plugins securely communicate with Softminal.com. This check transmits only your active license key, your site's domain URL, and the software version currently installed. We do not collect telemetry on your site's traffic, customer behaviors, user logs, or visual content data during this verification. Free versions do not engage in background tracking or user profiling data collection.
04
Plugin Architecture & AI Data
Our flagship plugin, ImageCraft AI, connects your WordPress site to external AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini).
Your API keys are encrypted locally on your server using enterprise-grade AES-256-CBC architecture. Keys are only ever decrypted temporarily in your server's memory to fulfill an API call. Your image payloads and content prompts are routed directly from your server to your selected AI vendor; they never route through or get logged by Softminal middleware servers.
05
How We Use Your Information
We use your details strictly to manage your active product licenses, deliver secure plugin updates, process transactions safely, and provide technical support.
We do not run background tracking protocols inside our software, nor do we distribute your information to third-party marketing networks.
06
Third-Party Services & Sub-Processors
To operate our products and services, we rely on a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf:
• Polar — our payment provider and merchant of record, which processes your purchase and securely handles your payment details.
• Resend — the email service we use to send transactional messages such as receipts, license keys, and account notifications.
• AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) — used only when you enable the AI features in ImageCraft. Data sent to generate alt text or titles is governed by your chosen provider’s privacy policy; these providers generally guarantee that data sent via API is not used to train their public models.
We encourage you to review each provider’s terms. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third-party advertising or marketing networks.
07
International Data Transfers
Softminal operates internationally, and some of our service providers — including Polar, Resend, and the AI vendors listed above — are based in the United States. If you access our services from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from your own. Where required, we rely on the appropriate safeguards offered by these providers (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.
08
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures. Data transmitted through Softminal.com is encrypted using current TLS configurations.
Because our plugins run natively on your own hosting, the long-term protection of your plugin environment also depends on your server's security controls. Our source code contains no telemetry backdoors or hidden tracking scripts.
09
Data Retention
We keep your personal information only for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal obligations. Account and license records are retained while your account is active, and billing or tax records may be kept for the period required by law (typically up to 7 years). You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to any records we are legally required to retain.
10
Your Rights & Choices
You maintain full ownership of your personal details. You can request to access, correct, or completely delete your account history and billing records with Softminal at any time.
For users within the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, our processes align with GDPR transparency and data-removal standards.
11
Cookie Policy
Softminal.com uses essential cookies solely to preserve your secure login state, manage your checkout, and safeguard form submissions. We avoid heavy tracking pixels and third-party advertising cookies, keeping your browsing experience private and fast.
12
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our products, services, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date shown above and, where appropriate, notify you. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
